Past the last big-box, the roads get low and the lots get large. Yepez Vineyard is the surprise — adobe, patio, Texas wine. Denna’s kolaches on FM 3180. North 146 has become its own eat corridor: Dumpling Time, CK’s Seafood. Thompson’s Fish Camp is at 213 Simms, Tri-City Beach — bait and a double ramp onto Galveston Bay, not the Bayway waterfront. Houston Raceway Park is gone (last NHRA 2022, demolished 2023); do not drive FM 565 looking for a starting line. Together the rest is the argument that Baytown is more than a pass-through on I-10.
Parking. On-site everywhere. FM 2354 is dark at night — drive it like you mean it.
