Goose Creek

The original town. Market Street, the wetlands, Bicentennial Park.

Goose Creek is not a subdivision brand. It is one of the three towns that merged into Baytown, and it still feels like it: smaller lots, Market Street taquerias, the Wetlands Center, Bicentennial Park, Lee College. If downtown is the arts pitch, Goose Creek is the civic one. Grito Fest happens here. So does a lot of actual daily life — El Sinaloense, Mi Parrillada, the trail along the creek. Calypso Cove, the little municipal splash inside N.C. Foote Park on West Main, is here too — $6 on a weekday, not Pirates Bay.

Parking. Market Street street parking. Festival nights, Lee College lots.
